MBWD CELEBRATES ITS 36TH YEAR ANNIVERSARY

The MBWD celebrates its 36th year anniversary on August 24, 2013. A mass was held at the Saint James the Elder Parish and attended by the officers and employees of the districtl, followed by the blessings of the drinking fountains donated by the water district to the following recipients: Bangued Parish, Suyo National High School in Pidigan, Abra and Casilagan Elementary School also in Pidigan. This is done every year in the celebration of the district’s anniversary as a part of our Social Responsibility Program.

CONSTRUCTION OF RESERVOIR

The completed reservoir has a capacity of 660 cu.m. lcoated at Casamata Hill, Zone 5, Bangued, Abra. This is to supplement the existing 440 cu.m. - reservoir to augment the water requirements of MBWD concessionaires within Bangued during peak demands. It's operation also increased the water pressure in the municipalities of Tayum and Pidigan by an average of 5psi.
